Contact Lenses

Not all contact lenses are created equal.  There are many different brands and models that serve a variety of functions.  Dr. Ricardo Silva is an expert in helping determine which lens will suit your needs.  Below you will find more information regarding the different type of lenses.

Toric Lenses

Many brands offer Toric contact lenses.  This is a lens specifically to help correct your astigmatism, if present.  They are available in monthly and daily wear lenses.  Dr. Silva will help you determine which is best suited for your eye and lifestyle.

Multi-Focal Lenses

This style of lens is suited for the Presbyopic patient who has difficulty switching from Near to Intermediate/ Distance Visions.  This is a different technology from Progressive, Bifocal, or Tri-focal glasses.  Each distance can be seen without moving the eye.  These are available in monthly and daily wear lenses.

Specialized Lenses

Some patients may have unique or special circumstances that regular contact lenses cannot correct such as Kerataconus.  Dr. Silva specializes in lenses made for some of these circumstances.  He offers contact lens fits for RGP, Scleral, and Synergeyes Lenses.

Myopia Management Program

The office of Dr. Ricardo Silva is excited to announce a new frontier in managing myopia.  The FDA has approved an innovative treatment designed to target and slow the progression of myopia in children ages 8-12.  This is part of a limited program in partnership with CooperVision using specially designed daily disposable contact lenses.
